St. Andrew's is the Place for Teens...

We enjoy hanging out together as we do community service projects, learn about Christian spirituality, and to get to know each other better. Our group is a wonderful way for teens at St. Andrew's to connect with others their age in a safe and fun environment. It's also a great place to continue growing in faith, and to explore our own questions about God and the church. (No question is "dumb" here, and all challenges to faith are met and welcomed.)

Some of the typical things we enjoy together include going to a movie, helping out at Habitat / Raise the Roof builds in New Haven, cooking dinner for the residents at Ronald McDonald House, ice skating in New Haven at the Ralph Walker Skating Rink followed by hot chocolate and donuts at DDs on State Street, Christmas caroling in town and at nursing homes, laser tag, making a set of Stations of the Cross, and just spending time together playing games or hanging out. Young and older teens, come and join us!

The Middle School Youth Group is for teens or tweens in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. The High School Youth Group includes teens in grades 9 through 12. The groups typically meet on different dates for their respective activities. Please see the calendar or events for each youth group.

The high school youth group also offers and sponsors mission trips each summer. Summer 2023 will see our group head to Orland, Maine to work with the H.O.M.E. organization and to the Dominican Republic to assist local parishes with their Vacation Bible School programs.
